Unite Rochester 2015 Poll Results

The Democrat and Chronicle worked in conjunction with the Rochester Area Community Foundation to commission a poll of Monroe County residents on racial opinions. Siena College Research Institute conducted the survey Dec. 13-23, polling 823 residents across the county. The results have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percent. Of those sampled, 30 percent were from the city of Rochester and 55 percent were from the suburbs.* The racial breakdown of respondents was 73 percent white, 16 percent African-American and 6 percent Hispanic or Latino. The numbers of Asian respondents and those of other racial groups were not statistically significant. The poll crosstabs, giving the breakdown by question, appear below. The first column on the left is the total for each question, so if you want to read just the totals, stick with that column. The other columns include the response breakdowns by city/rest of county, male/female, race and ethnicity, education, income, employed/unemployed, children in home and religion.
