Red light cameras

The city of Rochester began operating red light cameras in October 2010. Motorists caught on camera running a red light receive a $50 ticket in the mail. If the ticket is not paid, the fine jumps to $75 and eventually the car can be booted or towed. In addition to a ticket, violators are mailed photos of their vehicle entering and in the intersection after the light had turned red and a link to a secure web site where they can view a video of the alleged infraction.

The map below shows the location of cameras that are currently operational. Click on each intersection to see when the camera became operational.
The last new camera was installed on September 13, 2013. Visit the city's website for more details.
