Vaccination Rates at New York Schools

At least 25,000 elementary and secondary students in Upstate schools are not fully vaccinated against communicable diseases. Thousands of those students — and the number is growing annually — are sidestepping state requirements and skipping vaccinations completely.

The database below shows the immunization rates for each school in New York State for the 2013-2014 school year, as compiled by the state Department of Health. Data for most New York City schools is not included, and data for two public schools were removed because they appear to be inaccurate (George Fowler High School in Syracuse and Selden Middle School in Suffolk County).

Enrollment figures for each school come from the Department of Education, and are offered to give context about the general size of each school. They do not always exactly match the number of students included in the health department's immunization records.
