Nearly one hundred thousand organizations in New York state have qualified for tax exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service. This database contains information on each of those organizations based on the most recent IRS disclosures. Click on the link with each organization to see copies of their last three 990s they've filed.
Many organizations with less than $50,000 in gross receipts are not required to make detailed financial disclosures. They submit form 990-N, which simply lists the organization's address and principal officer. In this case, the IRS will report their assets, revenues, and income as zero even though they may be more than that. To see whether an organization has filed a 990-N, conduct a search at the IRS website.
