It didn't take long. Just seven minutes into her first start with the U.S. Women's National Team, a 22-year old Abby Wambach scored her first goal in international competition. In the years that have followed, she's been one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the game. Wambach moved into second place on the all-time scoring list with goal #131 on January 29, 2012. She tied and then set the all-time record on June 20, 2013. The previous record holder was Wambach's former teammate, Mia Hamm, who scored 158 international goals during a career that spanned from 1987 to 2004. Wambach netted numbers 157, 158, and 159 in the first half of a friendly against Korea.
